September 21 is World Alzheimer’s Day. We invite you to get comfortable while joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. With a small donation, your child will be entitled to wear free dress on Thursday, September 21..We encourage your child and you to wear purple on that day to show solidarity to those who are suffering with this disease. We suggest that your family donate $5.00 for this privilege; however donations of any amount are appreciated.
Mrs. Jean Wilson, our preschool director, will be supporting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s again this year in honor of Marcia Cali, longtime parishioner, SJC parent and staff member who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s at 55 years old and is struggling with the disease. This year, she will also walk in memory of Lucy Jio (Mr. Jio’s mom) who lost her battle with the disease last school year.
All proceeds will be doing directly to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. 100% of your donation helps to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Please fill out the attached form and include your donation.
If paying by check, make the check payable to St. Joseph of Cupertino. We will, in turn, send one check to the Alzheimer’s Association from the SJC Community.
