St. Joseph of Cupertino School has an important tradition – whenever we have a special celebration, we remember our brothers and sisters in need. In addition to our continued prayers, so far this year we have donated pasta to a homeless shelter as part of our Spaghetti Dinner celebration in October. We had a school carnival to help children in need in Santa Clara County as part of our Halloween fun. We donated food items so less fortunate families in our community might enjoy a nice Thanksgiving dinner like we had with our families. During the holiday season we collected stocking stuffer gifts to spread holiday cheer to foster children.
In addition before the Year of Mercy concluded, we held a toiletry drive for the homeless that was led by our Student Council Commissioners of Religious Activities. At SJC we strive to be community oriented and a community of service.
