Welcome Message
Welcome to St. Joseph of Cupertino School. We are a community that prays together, celebrates together, works together, enjoys good times together, and shares struggles together. Our philosophy is based on the values of our Catholic faith. We are committed to constantly trying to live out the Gospel message. Jesus has taught us that all people should be honored and respected, and we remind ourselves of this calling on a daily basis. We maintain a peaceful and respectful environment which is also filled with life and joy. St. Joseph of Cupertino is a very special community. As our motto says, we are:
"A SCHOOL...A COMMUNITY...A FAMILY"
About The Principal
I have been the principal of St. Joseph of Cupertino since 1991. Previously I was principal of a Catholic school in San Francisco for eleven years. I was born and raised in San Francisco, where I attended local Catholic elementary and high schools. After earning my Bachelor of Arts Degree and Elementary Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco, I pursued advanced degrees and earned a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and an Administrative Services Credential from San Francisco State University.
Our School's Goals
St. Joseph of Cupertino is a Catholic elementary school. We are committed to passing on the beliefs and values of our faith. The building of a strong sense of community in which each member feels a sense of belonging is an ongoing goal. We offer a challenging academic curriculum, while also providing the support that children need in order to reach these high standards. Our community worked together to develop student learning expectations which reflect our school goals:
