Sports Award Afternoon I: Recognizing First Semester Sports

The Sports Award Afternoon on Tuesday, February 19 was a great success. We especially want to again thank all of our wonderful SJC Coaches for volunteering so much time and energy to our sports program. We also want to thank our Athletic Directors, Mrs. Lisa Wicht and Mr. Kent Squarcia for coordinating everything that has to do with our after-school sports program including the Sports Award Afternoon. We recognized our sports teams from the first and second quarter. The following sports were recognized:

• Boys' Junior Varisty Football - Coached by Mr. Koker

• Swim Meet Particpants - Organized by Mrs. Kim
• Girls' Junior Varsity B Soccer - Coached by Mrs. Sanchez
• Girls' Varsity A Soccer - Coached by Mr. Chen
• Boys' Junior Varsity C 2 Basketball - Coached by Mr. Koker
• Boys' Junior Varsity C 1 Basketball - Coached by Mr. Anaya
• Boys' Junior Varsity B 5 Basketball - Coached by Mr. Caban
• Boys' Junior Varsity B 6 Basketball - Coached by Mr. Metevia

At the end of the awards afternoon, Ms. Lyons gave the coaches a SJC lanyard with a whistle as a small token of the school's appreciation for all of the work that they do.
