The celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday, December 7 was a beautiful event. The Mass was wonderful. Our children who reenacted the story of Juan Diego and Our Lady of Guadalupe; who were the Aztec, Mexican, and Princess Dancers; who were in the Procession of the Americas; and who participated in several other ways made us so proud. The story of Juan Diego and Our Lady is so simple, yet so powerful. Many thanks to our Guadalupe Committee, headed up by Mariqueta Churchill and Mary Ellen Hennig for organizing this special celebration each year; to Mrs. Gabriela Lopez, who arranges for our students to participate in the liturgical dances; and to Mrs. Rose Smith, who works with our Eighth Graders in dramatizing the story of Guadalupe. We also sincerely thank all of the other parents who stepped forward to help prepare the children for this celebration.
