Easter Celebration at SJC

Happy Easter Season to all of our SJC Families!!! We hope you had a wonderful celebration of Jesus’ Resurrection and the message of new life, rebirth, and constant hope that is central to our faith. Three of our students were Baptized into our Catholic faith during Lent and at the Easter Vigil. On Saturday, April 5, the second graders in our school and parish (as well as some children from other grades) celebrated the Restored Order by receiving First Eucharist and Confirmation at a special liturgy at 10:30 a.m. Please keep all of these children and families in your prayers.

The Holy Triduum Prayer Service, prepared by Mrs. Do and led by Mr. Sullivan and his Sixth Grade Class was a beautiful and reverent celebration of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter. We moved through the Last Supper, the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection as a full school community. Mrs. Belloni also led a group of sixth graders in song, and their renditions were gorgeous and moving.

As a part of our service, we offered up and blessed our Operation Rice Bowl Donations, asking for God’s blessings on children throughout the world who suffer from hunger and poverty.
