Christmas celebration day on Thursday, December 20 was a jam-packed day filled with prayer, reflection, good times, and fun. In the first part of the morning each classroom hosted their own Christmas party. Santa made a visit to all of the classrooms. We sincerely thank the Holy Name Society for arranging for Santa's visit. After recess, we took some time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas by celebrating our Advent Prayer Service. We presented all of our Wish Book Reach-Out gifts to Mary and Joseph. It was a wonderful way to honor the birth of Jesus. We thank Mrs. Shirlene Do and the student prayer leaders for helping us to continue our Advent journey in this meaningful way. We also thank Mrs. Gabriela Lopez and the Reach-Out Room Parents for coordinating our Wish Book collections. After the prayer service Mrs. Lisa Marie Baratta led the band and recorder students in their recital. The SJC Cheerleaders performed their Christmas routine, and Mrs. Ana Santos, Mr. Mike Lee, and the 8th graders led us in some fun Christmas carols.
