Mobile Computer Lab Arrives at SJC

The Mobile Computer Lab has arrived and is traveling from classroom to classroom at SJC!  The St. Joseph of Cupertino Technology Committee, made up of current and graduate parents and SJC teachers immediately began working overtime to configure the mobile lab for use.  They came to school during the evenings and weekends to make sure that all 20 laptops in the Mobile Lab were connected to the wireless network and were ready for the students. 

The lab's “maiden voyage” took it to the Fourth Grade classroom, where students worked on their Science Fair projects.  With the addition of this mobile laptop cart, SJC now has two fully equipped computer labs, one that is a stationary classroom where students go for computer classes and research work, and one that is a mobile lab that travels to the students so the teacher can fully utilize technology throughout the curriculum.  (In addition, there are computers in all classrooms and the library.)

This dream became a reality in record time, thanks to the amazing generosity and support of our community.  We began investigating the mobile lab just a few months ago.  Once the Faculty, Technology Committee, and School Board decided that this was our goal, the support flowed in.  Now, just a short time later, SJC has taken one more step in providing an ever-expanding set of technological tools to support the excellent academic curriculum offered to our students.

Our 4th Graders were thrilled to be the first class to use the Mobile Lab:
