Beware! Haunted A/V Room

On October 29, our A/V room became haunted when our 8th graders transformed the A/V room into a Haunted House. Under the leadership of Mr. Drew Lavery, the eighth grade parents and students were able to create six scary scenes. The Haunted House included a scary little girl's bedroom, a forest with a mutant spider, a mad scientist's lab, a creepy cemetery, a schoolroom from doom, and a birthday party gone bad. In addition, the courtyard was transformed into a festival area with some fun games and food. Haunted House patrons were able to enjoy pizza, homemade snacks such as, brownies and caramel apples, popcorn and beverages.

As part of the advanced ticket sale publicity, a 100 pound "fairy tale" pumpkin was raffled off at Friday's morning assembly. The Wilbanks family won this giant pumpkin.

The eighth grade would like to thank Mr. Lavery; their room parents Mrs. Hodder and Mrs. Linney; Mr. Hernando Gomez; Mrs. Barbara Hill; the eighth grade parents; and all who attended their event. Proceeds from the Haunted House will benefit the eighth grade and their graduation fund.
