Feedback from our Community - 2010-2011 School Year
Our son, is a proud member of the first ever preschool class at Saint Joseph's. As parents it was important that our son be in a caring environment that encouraged his academic, social, and spiritual development. In our opinion the preschool at Saint Joseph's has absolutely met our expectations. Our son is excited to go to preschool everyday and is eager to tell us what he did when he gets home. He talks incessantly about his teachers and the other students. Also, we have met so many wonderful people through the preschool that share our values and beliefs. We know that our son will be prepared for kindergarten next year and we know we made the right choice for his last year of preschool.

We are nothing but incredibly impressed with the education and values offered at St. Joseph's. The school offers a well-rounded education so that my son is excelling not just in academics but also enjoying sports, art, Spanish, and chess. St. Joseph's practices what it preaches. They demand the best of its teachers, students and yes, the parents. And as a result, the children truly flourish. St. Joseph's of Cupertino is definitely one of the best elementary schools in the SF Bay Area.

Grade K
My daughter transferred to Saint Joseph Cupertino for her 8th grade year. This school has welcomed her with open arms. As one of the teachers said, “It’s as if she has been here the entire time.” She met friends, good friends right away. The community is very inclusive. Students are not left out. The school is constantly finding ways to support this way of life. No one is left out. The school not only teaches academics but even more importantly, what it means to be a good person. They treat everyone as a family member. I was very impressed with the amount of time this faculty puts into their jobs. It can be several hours after school, but one can find Mr. Lee working hard in his classroom. All of the teachers have made this job their vocation. They do it with a lot of love and care for the students. My daughter never had Spanish at her old school; therefore the Spanish teacher found a way to individualize her lesson plans to meet not only the class needs, but my daughter’s needs as well. The whole staff are very friendly. They always make people feel welcome as one walks through the doors.

Our son is an 8th grader and our daugther is a senior at Archbishop Mitty High School (SJC 2007 graduate). We have been blessed to be a part of this school, community, and place of friends we call family for 13 years. St. Joseph is a special school. As working parents, it is comforting to know my children have been in a place where the teachers, staff and parents genuinely care about them. The lessons they and we have learned have gone beyond academics. They have received an exceptional education in the classroom, spiritually and in social awareness of our local and global world. Our daughter has continued to excel in high school and we are confident our son will equally succeed as he prepares for high school. We are grateful to St. Joseph for being our partner in developing our children and preparing them for high school and life. We highly recommend St. Joseph to any family. This is one of the best decisions we have made for children and their future. When SJC says they strive to develop a well rounded person, they are sincere and deliver this and more

Grade 8 and SJC Class of ‘07
We moved to SJC two years ago. Our children are presently in the 6th and 7th grade. It was one of the best decisions we have made. SJC made us feel like family. Our children made friends and were able to blend in, in no time. The teachers are all great. SJC provides an environment where students can learn and can be the best people they can be.

As a family that is not only new to St. Joseph but to Northern California as well we have been thrilled with St. Joseph of Cupertino Preschool. My husband and I are products of Catholic education and we appreciate all of the intangible benefits that come with a parochial setting. In addition to the underlying current of religion in daily class activities, there is an incredible sense of community that comes with being a part of this school. We feel included in the larger school family and our children feel it, and they are responding positively. The classroom is full of positive energy as a result of the very obvious commitment from the teachers to be a part of this program. The teachers care for the children in a calm yet firm and guiding manner that we believe is encouraging positive growth for our boys academically and as individuals alike. We would recommend St. Joseph of Cupertino Preschool to any family looking for a positive, religious, disciplined yet fun experience-based education for their child.

SJC Preschool came to our attention through a close friend currently working at SJC. Our religious upbringing was also very important to us, and we felt that SJC Preschool would help us raise our children in the same faith. We had interviewed other preschools, and some leaving great impressions on us, however, we felt that making SJC our first choice would mean something special, not only to us, but to our children as well. SJC Preschool has been a wonderful experience, thus far. Our daughter enjoys going to school and has made many friends, many of whom she speaks of daily! The facility is very clean and well organized. The staff is very friendly and they always appear to have a good grasp of all that is happening, especially with such a large group of preschoolers. Any time we step on campus we feel a tremendous sense of community among the other parents, and we go away feeling good about our decision. We look forward to the coming school year as our son will follow in his sister’s footsteps in becoming a Junior Jaguar!

Already having a daughter in St Joseph School, we were thrilled to find out our son would be able to attend the first year of the Junior Jaguar Program. We felt we already knew the program before it started since we saw it as an extension of the school. There are so many activities for him to do and look forward to each day. Whether it be learning a prayer, singing songs, listening to stories, learning Spanish, following a recipe, making something, playing on the playground, going across the monkey bars or looking forward to a special visitor, he loves to tell us about all of it. We feel grateful to be able to be a part of the first class of the Junior Jaguar program.

Even though we are not Catholic, SJC did a wonderful job at making our family feel accepted. Our son, is getting well prepared for high school, both socially and academically. We are very impressed with the amount of dedication the teachers have put into our son’s education. The principal was there for us at the start of the admission process to the end. Thank you SJC!
