LIFE - Fall Development Drive

Dear Members of the St. Joseph of Cupertino Community,
The St. Joseph of Cupertino School Community would like to express our deepest gratitude to you for the many acts of generosity you have shown to our school throughout the years. Each year we conduct our Annual Development Drive during November. This is so appropriate because the most important component of this appeal is our heartfelt appreciation to you, which we extend during this season of Thanksgiving.
We have accomplished so much over the years because of all of the ways in which you have helped us. Please be assured that every gift you have given has been deeply appreciated and wisely used. Ten years ago we initiated the L.I.F.E. Program. LIFE stands for Legacies in Faith and Education and it encompasses our Development, Scholarship, and Special Project Funds. We set a goal of depositing $1.5 million in our Development Fund by our 50th Anniversary in 2006. We reached that goal, and are now able to use the dividends/interest each year to maintain an affordable tuition structure for our families. Without that infusion of income, our tuition would be significantly higher. Our responsible stewardship, excellent academic program, and clear focus on our faith and values have all resulted in strong enrollment trends for our school. As a matter of fact, St. Joseph of Cupertino's enrollment is among the strongest in the San Jose Diocese.
Because of our strong Financial Aid Program we have been able to welcome additional families into our community. Thanks to our Special Projects Fund, we have been able to realize constant improvements to our school plant, curricular and extracurricular programs, and staffing. Our outstanding preschool, which opened in August 2010, is the perfect example of this community effort.
We realize that you are often asked to give, and that you have recently heard appeals from our parish and Diocese regarding increasing offertory donations and supporting the new parish in the Santee area of San Jose. Both of these appeals are extremely important and very worthy. However, if you find yourself in a position to donate also to our Annual Development Drive, please know just how much your gift to the St. Joseph of Cupertino L.I.F.E. program accomplishes, and how very, very much it is appreciated. Please know that your generosity constantly inspires us. As we gather for Morning Assembly each day with the children, we promise to keep you and your loved ones in our prayers.
