Bids Farewell to Some Wonderful Staff Members!
On the last day of school, our school community had to bid farewell to
four wonderful staff members. We honored Mrs. Peggy Pacis, Mrs. Linda
Anderson, Mr. Steve Do, and Mr. Brandon Christopher at our closing school
Mass and our end-of-the year luncheon. |

Despite a cold overcast day, the student body had a wet and wild time
at Field Day, which was sponsored by our new 2006-2007 Student Council. |

Starting on June 5, SJC celebrated Graduation Week with a myriad of activities
involving the Kindergarten and 8th grade classes. |

First Alumni Pizza Party was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!
Over 60 alums from four different classes arrived to renew friendships

Geology Rocks
Geology came alive at SJC on Thursday afternoon when the fourth grade
performed "Geology Rocks". |

on the Torch of Leadership to 7th Grade!!!
On May 23, our 8th graders passed on this torch of leadership to our
7th graders, and prayed that they would continue to foster our SPARCCLS
throughout the coming year. |

BAND tours 3 schools !!!
On Wednesday, May 24, the SJC student body was treated to a concert by
our 3rd graders and our Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced bands. Our
three bands combined forces with the Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced
bands from both St. Clare and St. Justin. |

for the Parish Thanksgiving Food Drive. |

Refugee Backpack
Prayer Service
On November 11, 2005, St. Joseph's reached out to new refugees. We collected
some basic necessities, placed them in backpacks, and prayed over the
backpacks. |

Cancer Victims with Denim Day
On Friday October 21st students showed their solidarity with cancer victims
and survivors by wearing denim. $500 was donated to the Susan G. Komen
Breast Cancer Research Fund. |

Spaghetti Dinner
The Spaghetti Dinner was a fun event from the beginning to end. Over
500 people attended for the food, raffle, and dancing. |

The Sally Foster On-Line Fundraiser
Continues
Our Student Council modeling their Sally Foster fashions to promote our
Sally Foster Fundraiser. Our school earns 50% of every sale and the proceeds
will benefit our mobile computer lab project. |

The Family Fun Festival
Was A HUGE Success
We especially would like to thank the carnival chairpersons, committee
coordinators, volunteers, and attendees that made the carnival such a
fun event for our community. |

$10,000 Grant
Mr. Mike Lee, 8th grade homeroom teacher and 6th, 7th, and 8th grade
math teacher received a $10,000 grant from BP Energy to augment his math
and technology curriculum. |
